Description
A hands-on course that combines outdoor adventure with creative sound making. Participants will learn the art of field recording, using microphones and portable recorders to capture sounds from the world around us, such as birdsong, rustling leaves, or water flowing.
Using Ableton Live software, field recorders, and a variety of microphones, students will not only record these natural sounds but also transform them into original soundscapes, music, and audio stories. The course also introduces students to the basics of sound design with GarageBand and Audacity. Through fun, hands-on activities, they’ll record their own voices, capture everyday noises, and explore environmental sounds, then experiment with turning these recordings into creative audio projects.
