Enrollment opens November 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.This course will teach you how to prepare for a multi-day hike from start to end. Topics covered include trail selection, risk reduction, essential gear, food, camp set up and leave no trace principles. After this course, the novice hiker will be confident backpacking in the wilderness and be able to enjoy the wonders of nature safely. Dress for the weather, as we will be on a short mock backpacking trip.
