Reserve in Advance: Weight Room Orientation

“Customers with a 10 Visit Be Active Pass will be required to pay the drop-in rate at the time of registration for a reserve in advance activity. On the day of your drop-in activity, please visit the front desk to have this charge refunded and a visit taken from your 10 Visit Be Active Pass. Customers with a valid Annual, One Month or Recurring Monthly Be Active Pass will be registered at no charge.

If you are unable to attend, please withdraw from the drop-in activity for the consideration to others. Withdraw online up until the day prior to the activity start date or contact a recreation facility prior to the start of the activity.”

The goal of the weight room orientation is to provide someone new to exercise or new to the facility a basic introduction to the weight room.

• A 30 minute safety weight room orientation. Participants will receive training on: safe practices in the weight room, proper use of equipment and a review of policies and etiquette.
• We will provide you with the basics of how to use weight and cardio equipment. You will learn how to start, stop and change settings on cardio machines, change seat height and weight selections on machines, and have a discussion of proper form on the weight machines.
• All instructors are experienced and certified.
• NOTE: an orientation is NOT a personal training session.
