Description

A zine (pronounced zeen) is a small-batch, independently published work, often made by hand. Become a zinester (someone who creates a zine) and discover the joy of creating these personal, non-digital publications! In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn a variety of binding techniques, including folding, stapling, sewing and more, before creating their own unique publication. Using collage, drawing, photography, writing and mixed media, students will explore topics and styles that matter to them. Finished zines can be shared, displayed, traded with classmates, or even submitted to the Vancouver Public Library’s zine collection. Instructor: Stephanie Broder
