Description
Did you know that the wheel is an excellent tool for making forms that are not round? Participants will experiment with multiple methods of altering round pots at various stages of dryness, including faceting and carving, paddling, darting, and leatherhard construction using multiple parts. This course is intermediate level and not suitable for beginners. Participants must be able to throw a 6-inch cylinder. Clay is not included in course fee. Purchase clay ticket from the Front Office prior to the start of class. Due to the design of this course, no withdrawal/refunds after June 26. Making: July 6-9. Glazing: July 23. Please note that participants will have the option of continuing to work on their ceramics in the Pottery Studio from 2:30-5:30pm on July 6-9 for additional Open Workshop fees. The Ceramic Arts Programmer will share more information closer to the date.
