Description
Join us for a two-part introduction to the art of blacksmithing. Students start by learning the importance of safety in a blacksmith's shop. Then, they will learn how to work with a coal forge to heat mild steel and shape it with a hammer and anvil. Students will create a coat hook in the first session and a dinner triangle in the second session. Steel-toed boots recommended.
Please note that attendance in the first session of this multi-part course is mandatory to receive the shop safety overview.
This Level 1 workshop is considered an introductory blacksmithing course. Successful completion of the course fulfills the prerequisite for taking BVM's Level 2 courses.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the start of the course will not be issued a refund.
