Description

Prerequisite: 13 years of age before last class or Bronze Star Bronze Medallion challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness – the four components of water rescue – form the basis of Bronze Medallion training. Candidates acquire the assessment and problem-solving skills needed to make good decisions in, on, and around the water. Emergency First Aid provides a general knowledge of first aid skills including: victim assessment, rescue breathing, external bleeding and heart attack and stroke. CPR procedures for adult, child and infant are taught. All candidates must present proof of identity at the start of the course (i.e., health card with photo, passport).
