Enrollment opens September 9, 2026 at 7:30 a.m.To be certified as a Lifesaving Society Course Examiner you must successfully complete the three-step process.
1. Successfully complete this examiner course with an Examiner Mentor
2. Successfully apprentice with an Examiner Mentor on one exam for a Lifesaving Society Lifeguard and Leadership Course you wish to be certified to be an Examiner of.
3. Submit a completed Examiner Training Record and the certification fee to the Lifesaving Society.
Preliminary requirements: to take this course you must have taught, or co-taught, at least one course in the stream(s) in which you are seeking certification as an examiner.
Required manuals: Examiner Handbook. Award guide(s) for each certification the candidate wishes to examine (e.g., candidates wishing to become a Bronze Examiner must have the Bronze Medal Award Guide, or candidates wishing to become a First Aid Examiner must have the First Aid Award Guide).
