Description

Learn to paint lovely spring flowers in an impressionist style using several techniques including wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, dry brush and glazing techniques. Each class will include helpful demonstrations to help you follow along with ease and provide examples to recreate. Previous watercolour experience is needed. You will need to bring your own supplies. A supply list will be emailed upon registration.

Please note: This class will be held at Doug Snooks Eagle Place Community Centre, 333 Erie Ave.

Watercolours supplies can be purchased at Staples or Michael's.

Paint - professional quality tube paints (Daniel Smith or Winsor Newton Cotman)
Colours
- 2 yellows (cool and warm)
- 2 reds (cool and warm)
- 1 pink
- 2 blues (cool and warm)
- Burnt Sienna
- Yellow Ochre

Arches Watercolour pad (9 x 12 or bigger)

3 brushes - large (16), medium (12) and small round (8), and a rigger brush

Masking fluid (optional)

Foam core or other support for paper

Masking tape

Small spray bottle

Palette with a large mixing area

  • Small triangular palette knife (optional)

Pencil and sketch book

Paper towel

Container for water
