Description
Through a partnership with Bartley Skills Development Program, the Beyond Barbering and Braiding program is a skills trades and entrepreneur development program that helps youth develop lifelong skills while focusing on promoting self-confidence and personal growth.
Participants will learn essential techniques in barbering such as fades, outlines, and scissor cuts with guidance from experienced mentors, along with lessons in entrepreneurship and essential soft skills required for the workforce.
The program aims to inspire youth to explore careers in the barbering industry while fostering a sense of community and personal empowerment.
All materials will be provided for the program, which participants will be able to take home with them at the end of the program including: clippers, mannequin heads, and more.
Youth will be provided the option to learn Braiding or Barbering.
