Description
This course provides training for Lifesaving Instructors who wish to coach lifesaving sport at the community level. The course focuses on the fundamentals of coaching and lifesaving sport skills in the pool or in open water.
Candidates must provide proof of identification (valid government ID with full legal name, and birth date) and proof of the following prerequisite: Lifesaving Instructor certification (does not need to be current), on the first day of the course.
Required Materials: ILS Competition Rule Book (download from LSS website), Lifesaving Society Canadian Lifesaving Manual, Lifesaving Society Instructor Manual for reference. Participants will require a whistle.
Required Fees: Candidates will be charged the price of the exam fee required by the Lifesaving Society upon registration.
