Description
This program is designed to create a comfortable learning environment for families, some of whom may be new to Canada or may have no experience with survival swimming and water safety. The program will focus on the minimum skills needed to survive an unexpected fall into deep water:
1. ROLL into deep water
2. TREAD water for one minute
3. SWIM 50 metres
Accommodations and modifications can be made for the above skills based on the participant’s ability and comfort level.
Dependent upon the swimming ability of children under the age of 10, a parent/guardian may be required to be in the water. Aquatic admission standards apply.
PLEASE NOTE: These classes are not swimming lessons and all family members participating need to register.
