Description

Using Tinkercad, a free online program used in 3D design and modelling, participants will learn how to combine shapes and use critical thinking to create designs that can later be 3D printed. They will work through problems to imagine, create, and test their unique designs, and work towards being able to test solutions to improve their models. Prerequisites: 3D Design Modeling for 3D Printing with Tinkercad Level 1 Requirements: Participants must have a Google or Facebook account to log into the software as well as an account in Tinkercad (www.tinkercad.com). Recommended Equipment: Personal USB Key to save work (note that computers are shared student accounts). Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required.
