Description
Jazz is a performative style of dance that arose in the US in the 20th century. The rhythmic dance style incorporates technical aspects such as jumps and turns and is characterized by syncopation, improvisation and fluidity. Dancers will evolve their technical abilities based on their age and abilities.
In addition to the regular weekly classes, dancers must also participate in the recital rehearsal, picture day, and the recital performance. Dates will be communicated as soon as possible.
Family and friends wishing to attend the recital performance, must pay for a ticket in advance.
Required Equipment: Dancers require comfortable clothing and jazz shoes.
Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required.
