Campers will work with the 123 Robot through story-based labs that introduce vocabulary, functions and features of the robot in order to complete coding challenges while practicing addition skills. They will learn how the debugging process works as well as how to identify and fix bugs in codes. They will then transition from touch button coding to using the coder and coder cards to create projects to drive the robot while investigating how programming languages are set of rules where symbols represent actions and actions become the behaviour of the robot.
Campers may also participate in various camp activities such as cooperative games, sports, water activities and crafts. These activities vary by location.
Participants must be toilet trained.
Campers must bring a nut-free lunch and snacks, a reusable water bottle and wear comfortable outdoor/weather appropriate clothing.
