Skating 2 ( 3 to 6 Years)

Participants will be introduced to jumps, scooter pushes, backwards skating, crossovers on a line and snowplow stops. Prerequisites: Skating 1 or Skating 1B and/or can glide for 2 seconds and can take steps backwards. Required Equipment: All participants must wear single bladed skates and a Canadian Standard Association (CSA) certified hockey helmet. Please ensure skates are sharpened. Double-bladed skates are not permitted. Recommended Equipment: Facemasks are strongly recommended for all participants. Mittens or gloves, and warm clothes including snow pants or slush pants are highly recommended. Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required.
