Camp hours are from 9:00am-4:00pm.
Before and After Care (7:30-9:00am and 4:00-6:00pm) is available for an extra fee.
Late pick-up fees may apply.
Campers may be grouped based on age and ability.
Please ensure your phone number and email is updated in your City of Brampton xplor account for communication purposes.
Campers must bring a nut-free lunch and snacks, a reusable water bottle and wear comfortable outdoor/weather appropriate clothing.
Have all items labelled with child's name. Leave all valuables at home, the City of Brampton is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Campers may also participate in various camp activities such as cooperative games, sports, crafts and water activities. These activities vary by location.
Campers will build and code a Code Base Robot to perform a job that is dull, dirty or dangerous. They will learn the beginning steps of coding the Code Base robot including how to open, download, and run a project using VEXcode GO. They will then work on a project to code the Code Base Robot to act like a rover to collect samples on Mars.
They will be introduced and use the Eye Sensor on the Code Base to detect obstacles to clear the landing area for a Mars rover to land safely. They will then use the Code Base Robot and its sensor iterations to explore robot behaviors, controls, commands, and sensors through navigation challenges.
Campers may also participate in various camp activities such as cooperative games, sports, water activities and crafts. These activities vary by location.
