Description
Participants will learn the basics of app development and block programming using the cloud-based MIT App Inventor. MIT App Inventor is a an open-source visual programming learning tool that allows participants to create real-world usable apps for Android and iOS devices.
Requirements: Participants must have a Google or Facebook account to log into the software.
Recommended Equipment: Personal USB Key to save work (note that computers are shared student accounts).
Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required.
