Description
Participants will learn to stand up, push while walking forwards, stopping, introduction to jumps, introduction to two foot glides and backwards skating.
Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program, unless otherwise stated. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required.
Prerequisites: No previous skating ability or Parent and Child/Skating 1A
Required Equipment: All participants must wear a Canadian Standard Association (CSA) certified hockey helmet. Facemasks are strongly recommended for all participants. Please ensure skates are sharpened. Double-bladed skates are not permitted. Mittens or gloves are required for all participants. Warm clothes including snow pants or slush pants are recommend.
