Description
Participants will be introduced to turning, stopping, gliding, introduction to jumps and taking steps backwards.
Prerequisites: Parent and Child and/or Skating 1A and/or can stand on their own and take a few steps forward on the ice.
Required Equipment: All participants must wear single bladed skates and a Canadian Standard Association (CSA) certified hockey helmet. Please ensure skates are sharpened. Double-bladed skates are not permitted.
Recommended Equipment: Facemasks are strongly recommended for all participants. Mittens or gloves, and warm clothes including snow pants or slush pants are highly recommended.
Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required.
