Skating 3 ( 6 to 13 Years)

Participants will develop pushing and gliding techniques, crossovers on a curve, stopping and skating backwards. Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program, unless otherwise stated. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required. Prerequisites: Skating 2 and/or can skate forward and backward across the length of the ice, scooter pushes on a curve, and crossovers on a line. Required Equipment: all participants must wear a Canadian Standard Association (CSA) certified hockey helmet. Facemasks are strongly recommended for all participants. Please ensure skates are sharpened. Double-bladed skates are not permitted. Mittens are gloves are required for all participants. Warm clothes including snow pants are recommended.
