Skating 2 ( 6 to 13 Years)

Participants will be introduced to jumps, scooter pushes, backwards skating, crossovers on a line and snowplow stops. Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program, unless otherwise stated. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required. Prerequisites: Skating 1 or Skating 1B and/or can glide for 2 seconds and can take steps backwards. Required Equipment: all participants must wear a Canadian Standard Association (CSA) certified hockey helmet. Facemasks are strongly recommended for all participants. Please ensure skates are sharpened. Double-bladed skates are not permitted. Mittens are gloves are required for all participants. Warm clothes including snow pants are recommended.
