Lifesaving Society Swim, Lifesaving and Emergency First Aid Instructors (15+ Years)

The Lifesaving Society Swim, Lifesaving, and Emergency First Aid Instructor course prepares the instructor to teach and evaluate basic swim strokes and related skills. Candidates acquire proven teaching methods, a variety of stroke development drills, and correction techniques for all levels of the Swim for Life program. The Lifesaving Society Lifesaving Instructor course prepares individuals to organize, plan, teach and evaluate lifesaving skills, first aid skills, and resuscitation techniques. Candidates must provide proof of identification (valid government ID with full legal name, and birth date) and proof of the following prerequisites: 15 years of age by the last day of the course and Bronze Cross certification (does not need to be current), on the first day of the course. Required Materials: Lifesaving Instructor Pack. Candidates should bring their Canadian Lifesaving Manual and Canadian First Aid Manual for reference. Participants will also require a whistle. Course Schedule: Fridays: 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm Saturdays: 12:30 pm – 9:30 pm Sundays: 12:30 pm – 9:30 pm
