Description

Participants will use their imagination to create, design, test, and play their own unique and interactive animations and video games using MIT’s Scratch programming using building block visual interface to learn how to code animations and games. Participants will learn how to create characters and backgrounds, adjust movements and sounds, and use programming loops, if conditions, and variables to create animations and video games. Requirements: Participants must have an account in Scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/) in order to save their work weekly. Due to the duration length of this program, participants under ten (10) years of age do not need to be accompanied in the program. However, parents/guardians are expected to remain at the program location for its duration in the event their immediate assistance is required.
