The Bronze Cross Re-Examination is designed for individuals who need an additional examination attempt after an unsuccessful course, or who need to recertify an expired Bronze Cross certification (more than two years from the original certification date)
Prior to registering, candidates are encouraged to seek a recommendation from their instructor to ensure they are adequately prepared for the assessment. During the re-exam, candidates must successfully demonstrate all required Bronze Cross skills, knowledge, fitness, and judgment components, and will be evaluated on the full set of certification standards.
Successful completion of all test items is required to earn the Bronze Cross certification. As Bronze Cross serves as the Assistant Lifeguard certification and a prerequisite for advanced aquatic leadership training, candidates should be prepared to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in water rescue skills, emergency response, and victim assessment.
