Description

The Bronze Medallion Re-Examination is designed for individuals who need an additional examination attempt after an unsuccessful course, or who need to recertify an expired Bronze Medallion certification (more than two years from the original certification date).

Prior to registering, candidates are encouraged to seek a recommendation from their instructor to ensure they are adequately prepared for the assessment. During the re-exam, candidates must successfully demonstrate all required Bronze Medallion skills, knowledge, fitness, and judgement components, and will be evaluated on the full set of certification standards.


Prerequisites for Re-examination:

  • Provide proof of original registration and Lifesaving Report Card in a Bronze Medallion course.
  • Provide proof of being at least 13 years of age on the day of the exam OR Bronze Star certification.

Prerequisites for Recertification: Bronze Medallion

Attendance: 100% attendance and Participation is required to be successful in this course.

Proof of Identity: Participants are required to present valid government-issued photo identification to the course instructor at the start of the course. Acceptable forms of ID include a Birth Certificate, Driver’s License, Passport, Permanent Resident Card, or other official government-issued identification.
