Description

This recertification course is designed for individuals who have completed their Lifesaving Society Intermediate First Aid within the past three years. Participants will refresh their CPR skills for infants, children, and adults, while also reviewing how to manage a wide range of emergencies, including wound care, fractures, heart attacks, and strokes. The course offers hands-on practice and up-to-date techniques to ensure confidence in emergency response. Certification is recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).

Attendance: 100% attendance and Participation is required to be successful in this course. Achieve a minimum 70% on the written test

Proof of Identity: Participants are required to present valid government-issued photo identification to the course instructor at the start of the course. Acceptable forms of ID include a Birth Certificate, Driver’s License, Passport, Permanent Resident Card, or other official government-issued identification.

Prerequisites: Standard First Aid or Intermediated First Aid dated within 36 months of the original course date. Recertification is allowed only once before a full two-day course is required. Recertification can be completed with the any certifying agency. If the award holder misses the recert course by even one day, they must retake a full course. No exceptions.
