The Lifesaving Instructor Course prepares candidates to effectively organize, plan, teach, and evaluate lifesaving, first aid, and resuscitation skills in accordance with the Lifesaving Society’s standards. With WSIB-recognized first aid awards, the course meets regulatory requirements by ensuring only certified first aid instructors deliver WSIB-approved training. Participants gain hands-on experience and instructional strategies for delivering both lifesaving and first aid programs. Successful completion results in two certifications: Lifesaving Instructor and Emergency First Aid Instructor.
Attendance: 100% attendance and Participation is required to be successful in this course.
Proof of Identity: Participants are required to present valid government-issued photo identification to the course instructor at the start of the course. Acceptable forms of ID include a Birth Certificate, Driver’s License, Passport, Permanent Resident Card, or other official government-issued identification.
Prerequisites: 15 years of age by the last day of the course, and Bronze Cross Recommended Swim Instructors
